Exemplar Courses
Exemplar Programme Course
The exemplar programme course shows how our Oxford programme template can be best used to provide students with key information about their course. This includes an overview of the programme, a link to the course handbook and information and contact details for all staff involved on the course. Where appropriate, the programme-level course can be used to offer induction materials and activities for students as well as general information on various university policies, assessment and examiners' reports. There is also space provided within this template for information regarding student representation and the facility for students to provide feedback via a survey.

Exemplar Paper Course
The exemplar paper course shows how our Oxford paper template can be used to provide students a rich digital education experience that is easy consistently presented for ease of navigation. The exemplar course demonstrates each "topic" of the course being contained within a Canvas course "module", each with a consistent pattern of resources - a page introducing the topic followed by a reading list and links to activities that vary slightly for each topic. These include, but are not limited to:
- links to lecture recordings
- online discussions
- problem sheets uploaded to Canvas upon completion
- quizzes for self-testing knowledge
- an essay assignment that can be uploaded to Canvas for marking/review
- information on tutorials or webinars that could also contain a Teams Meetings link so students can join remotely
In the exemplar course each topic uses a variation of the FIT pathways developed by the Centre for Teaching and Learning as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For some papers it may make sense to structure the course so that each module relates to a week, rather than a topic as demonstrated in this exemplar course.
