OXCORT, SITS and timetabling

Q. Will Canvas be integrated with the tutor time and student recording system OXCORT?

A. A separate 'Tutor Management System' is being designed and built. Whether or not it will integrate with Canvas is unknown at present.

Q. Will Canvas be integrated with SITS (to the extent that we will be able to import groups of participants such as students registered on a particular course or programme of study)?

A. A custom tool has been built by Canvas for Oxford called the GET Tool for  'Oxford Groups'. It will function like the 'Participant Groups' in WebLearn. You can search and select groups of participants registered on a particular programme of study or year cohort within a programme. Since data on teaching courses (modules, papers) is not readily available in SITS, these enrolments in Canvas will have to be handled manually.

Q. Will Canvas be integrated with any timetabling system/s that might be implemented in future?

A. Work on timetabling systems will be considered along with other systems integration. Any queries in this regard can be directed to edu-it@it.ox.ac.uk
