Monitoring progress (analytics)
Q. Can a tutor or administrator monitor the progress of all their students in one particular college?
A. It depends on how the Canvas courses are set up. A Canvas course can be divided into ‘sections’, e.g. containing students in one particular college. If the tutor or administrator does not need to create material in the course, they can be given the ‘TA Observer’ role for their college section only, if they need to view their students’ activities and progress.
Q. Can I generate analytics reports in Canvas?
A. Yes. Canvas offers very detailed and in-depth reporting options.

Q. Does Canvas show records of tutor use?
A. Within any Canvas course, click on the People tool and select a particular role (e.g. 'Teacher', 'TA' etc.). This shows a list of everyone in the course with that role, the last date and time that they logged in, and their total amount of time spent in the course.
