Q. What Canvas training and support opportunities are available?
A. Various learning opportunities for staff (tutors, lecturers, course administrators, librarians), self-help materials and types of support are available:
- Telephone, email and chat support is available from the Canvas suppliers 24/7, 365 days a year. The University has purchased this additional service to support staff and students, so please use it as your first point of enquiry. Click the Help? icon on the global navigation bar in Canvas and select your preferred method of communication.
- Hands-on Canvas courses offered by the digital education team in the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) (booking is required):
- Canvas Fundamentals (two hours, usually via Teams)
- Lunch-time sessions (30 mins to one hour) on specific tools including Canvas tools, H5P, Ally and Vevox
- Empowering Oxford Educators (2-hour in-person workshop) to explore how digital resources can be effectively applied to facilitate and enhance the teaching experience at Oxford
- Canvas for Local Canvas Coordinators (LCCs) – how to manage the Canvas presence of your unit and use Admin tools within your sub-account:
