Adding 'People' to a course after it has ended
Q. How do I add people (e.g. new teachers or visitors), to a course that has ended? The +People button is greyed out.
A. Canvas refers to courses that have ended as 'concluded'. Sometimes you will have a new teacher or student who would like to see last year's concluded course(s) to inform building new course(s) or for their coursework. Once a course is concluded, the Course Administrators or Teachers can add people to concluded courses by creating an Ad-Hoc group and a rule in 'Oxford Groups' tool.

Note: For librarians and course administrators it may be more appropriate to set their permissions at the Programme sub-account level which will provide visibility of all courses in that sub-account. There is then no need to enrol them in various individual courses. Your LCC is able to set this permission.
According to Canvas, institutions have different policies about how access to concluded courses should be handled, which is why they disable the '+People' button by default.
