Changing or selecting multiple files in the Files folder
Q. Can I select all files in a folder to set copyright, delete or other actions?
A. Yes, Option 1 is for 'All Files' and Option 2 is for two or more selected files:
Option 1:
- To select 'All Files', use Ctrl + A (PC) or Cmd + A (Mac)
- Another menu ribbon opens above the file list with action choices. Hover over the icons to choose the appropriate action. The 'three-dots' menu at the end of each row also has similar actions.
Option 2:
- To select two or more files, hold down Ctrl (PC) or Cmd (Mac).
- Click on the blank space between 'Name' and 'Date created'.
- Once you have selected at least one file, another menu ribbon opens above the list with choices (Manage access, Download, Move, Copyright, Delete).
- Carry out the action on all the files selected at once.
- The 'three-dots' menu at the end of each row also has similar actions.

Q. How can I publish several files at once?
A. Once you've selected all/multiple files, you can publish and set usage rights using either the "Manage access" i.e. publishing – padlocked cloud icon: ; or "Manage usage rights" i.e. copyright icon:
in the Options menu.
Both icons bring up a window that allows you to do both tasks:
The main difference is that :
'Manage usage rights' tells you that it will also cascade and set the same usage rights for files in the entire folder and any subfolders, whereas
- '
'Manage access' doesn't display a message, but if you use this icon to also manage usage rights, it will set the same usage rights for files in the entire folder and any subfolders.
In other words, setting usage rights cascades down through the folders, whereas setting access (i.e. publishing) does not. Publishing applies only to the selected files.
