How to log in to Canvas
There are two ways to sign into Canvas at the University of Oxford:
- Through a web browser: use the following URL: www.canvas.ox.ac.uk/
- Through a mobile app on a mobile device: you will need to download the Canvas Teacher App.

Accessing Canvas through a web browser
Note that there are two options for signing in via a web browser: 1) using an Oxford SSO account username 2) using a non-Oxford account username.
Be sure to select the correct option, and then enter your login details. If this is the first time you are logging in to a University system on a particular day, you will be asked to comply with the multi-factor authentication process. That is, you will be asked to verify your account using a second factor, such as a code from an app on your phone, text message, or a phone call.
Accessing Canvas through the mobile app
This requires installing the Canvas Teacher App on your device.
1. Go to your App Store and search for Canvas Teacher.
Download and open the App.
2. Use the Find my school button to search for The University of Oxford.
3. You will be taken to the following screen.
Use your Oxford SSO and password to log in.
