Directors of Graduate Studies

Directors of Graduate Studies are responsible for academic leadership and oversight of research students and supervisors in their department. You can request a meeting with your Director of Graduate Studies at any time to discuss your progress or address queries of an academic or personal nature that your supervisors are unable to help with, or that you so not wish to discuss with your supervisors. Your Director of Graduate Studies can also help where differences of opinion have arisen between you and your supervisor.

Should you have any matters relating to your studies which your supervisor/Course Director is unable to answer, your departmental Director of Graduate Studies can advise. You can address administrative queries (e.g. how to make an application for transfer or for a dispensation from the regulations) to the Graduate Studies Administrator in your department.
