What is GJCC?

The division's Graduate Joint Consultative Committee (GJCC) [Oxford-only] is a committee of graduate students made up of course reps from each department in the Medical Sciences Division who are elected by departments on an annual basis. The chair of the committee is currently Professor Phil Burnet (Department of Psychiatry). The committee usually meets in the 4th week of each term.

The purpose of the GJCC is to ensure a regular channel of communication between graduate students and divisional academic staff. The committee considers business relating to graduate studies in the Medical Sciences Graduate School, and the meetings are an opportunity for students to feed back any thoughts, points, concerns or issues their peers have to academic staff.
