Course syllabus

Welcome to the pre-course Mathematics resources for the MBiochem Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry programme. These are self-study resources that will help you make sure that you arrive in Oxford with the necessary Maths skills for the Biochemistry programme. 

Logging in to Canvas

You will need to log in to Canvas to access this course. You will be able to do this in one of two ways:

1. If you have recently had or set up an Oxford Single Sign-On (SSO) account, e.g. for Opportunity Oxford, you should be able to log in using the "Oxford Users" option. You will then be able to log in using your SSO username (e.g. abcd1234@ox.ac.uk) and password. 
2. Otherwise, you will need to follow the following process to log in using the "Other Users" option:
   1. Go to the Other Users login page
   2. Go to the "Forgot Password?" link
   3. Enter the email address that you used for your application to Oxford and "Request Password"
   4. You will be sent an email with a link to set a password for your account
   5. You will then be able to log in on the Other Users login page, using your email address and password

Once you have received and activated your Oxford SSO account, you will be automatically switched to using this to log in to Canvas. You will receive an email notifying you when this has happened.

Please start by reading the Introduction, which will explain the purpose of these resources and the two formats that you can use to access the content.
